Elizabeth Hoffman Fregia, 51, Former Stamford Resident

NEW FAIRFIELD, Conn. - Elizabeth Hoffman Fregia of New Fairfield died Saturday, Aug. 24. She was 51.

Fregia was born Jan. 3, 1962, in Stamford, daughter of Kenneth E. Cantrell of Wilton, Maine and Judith E. (Panella) Lamb. She resided in Stamford to the age of 12 and relocated to Florida and later to Texas and Pennsylvania. A graduate of Lamar University of Beaumont, Texas, she received her LPN degree in 1984 and her RN degree in 2011. A resident of New Fairfield for the past nine months coming from Smyrna, Tenn., she was a member of Faith Church of New Milford.

Fregia is survived by her husband, Roger D. Fregia; her father, Kenneth (Rose); stepfather, Quentin Lamb of New Fairfield; daughter, Amanda Dobbins (Timothy) of Nolensville, Tenn.; sisters, Debra J. Prett (Anthony) of East Haven and Karen M. Garcia of New Fairfield; brothers, Kenneth E. Cantrell III (Deborah) of Stamford and David E. Cantrell (Leslie) of New Fairfield; step-brothers, Raymond and Herbert; step-sisters, Marion, Cathy, Donna, Tracy and Micki; and two grandchildren. She was predeceased by her mother, Elizabeth; and step-brothers, Jimmy and Eugene.

Calling hours are Friday, Aug. 30 from 3 to 9 p.m. in the Jowdy-Kane Funeral Home, 9-11 Granville Ave., Danbury.
