Dorothy Mennona, 80, Of Stamford, Worked At A&P, Was Avon Representative

STAMFORD, Conn. - Dorothy (Doris) Mennona of Stamford died May 21. She was 80.

Mennona was born June 5, 1932, in Stamford, daughter of Angelo and Agnes Lanick Molinari. She was a Stamford resident all her life. She worked at the A&P on East Main Street and was an Avon representative for many years.

Mennona is survived by daughter, Dorothy Marie Parker of Danbury; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, James V. Mennona; daughter, Karen Ann Senecal; sister, Barbara Venezio; and brother, John Molinari.

Calling hours are Friday, May 24 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Ave., Stamford. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 9 a.m. Saturday, May 25 to St. Mary’s RC Church, 566 Elm St., for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery, Darien.
