Born on May 15, 1930 in Stamford, Cantavero was the daughter of Rocco and Bernadette (DeMala) DiNapoli. Cantavero graduated from Stamford High School in 1948. She loved reading, baking and gardening. Florida was her favorite place to vacation.
She is survived by her children, Donna Davis of Darien; Nicholas Tarzia of Darien; Bernadette Napolitano (Robert) of Redding; and Camille Andriunas (Gregory) of Darien; her ten grandchildren; and her seven great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, her sister, and her brother. She was preceded in death by her grandson, her brother, and her husband, Peter Cantavero.
The family will receive friends at the Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Road in Darien, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 16. A service will follow at 7 p.m. Burial will take place at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 17 at Spring Grove Cemetery in Darien.
