Benoit Delmotte, 45, Stamford Printing Specialist

STAMFORD, Conn. – Benoit "Ben" O. Delmotte of Stamford died suddenly on July 14 after a brief illness. He was 45. 

Delmotte was born April 2, 1967 in Tournai, Belgium. After attending school, he served in the French military. Delmotte immigrated to the U.S. in 1998 and moved to Stamford in 2001. 

After moving to Stamford, he began a career in the printing industry and most recently worked as a printing specialist at Minuteman Press of Stamford. Delmotte had a passion for cooking, gardening, travel and spending time with friends in Stamford. 

He also enjoyed organizing gatherings at local restaurants and pubs and engaging in debates. Delmotte loved animals, especially his cat, Sweetpea. He enjoyed watching the New York Yankees, Le Tour de France and FIFA World Cup, particularly when France was playing. 

Delmotte is survived by his wife, Holly Hunt AND his parents, Etienne and Jacqueline Delmotte, of Mortagne-du-Nord, France. 

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Leo P. Gallagher and Son Funeral Home in Stamford. A service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
