STAMFORD, Conn. - Anne Gospodinoff of Stamford and longtime Greenwich resident, died Sunday, Sept. 22. She was 83.
Gospodinoff was born Feb. 19, 1930, in Stamford, daughter of Jack and Susan Boccuzzi. She graduated from Stamford High School and worked for 35 years as an Early Childhood Teacher at St. Catherine of Siena Early Childhood Center in Riverside. She was a parishioner at St. Catherine of Siena Church in Riverside.
Gospodinoff is survived by her husband, Stephan M. Gospodinoff of Greenwich; sisters, Grace Boccuzzi, Mary Boccuzzi, Vera Zurkowski and Nick "Bing" Boccuzzi all of Stamford; son, Stephan Gospodinoff (Deborah) of Stratford; daughter, Jacqueline Gospodinoff of Greenwich; and two grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents.
Calling hours are Wednesday, Sept. 25 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Lacerenza Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8 Schuyler Ave., Stamford. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 23 at Sacred Heart Church, 37 Schuyler Ave., Stamford. Interment will follow at St. John's Cemetery, Darien.
