STAMFORD, Conn. — Ann Janik Dexter died at Stamford Hospital after a brief illness. She was 82.
She was born in Suchany, Czechoslovakia, and immigrated to the U.S. with her family at the age of 2. Dexter graduated with top honors from Stamford High School and worked as an executive secretary for 42 years.
Dexter is survived by her daughter, Sheila O’Grady, four grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. She was predeceased her brother, John Janik; her husband, Buddy Dexter, and her son, Michael Dexter.
