Albino LaValle, 81, Of Stamford

STAMFORD, Conn. -- Stamford resident Albino V. LaValle died Tuesday, Dec. 22. He was 81.

Born in Italy, LaValle immigrated to the United States in 1959. He was a master tailor at Minute Men Cleaners from 1964 until he retired this October.

He was an avid soccer fan and spent many hours watching his favorite team -- Juventus of Italy.

Albino is survived by his wife of 55 years, Ilda; daughter Amy LaValle; son Ferdinando LaValle and his wife Tricia; grandchildren Jessica Holding, Carly Holding and Alexander LaValle; and brothers Dino, Mario and Vincenzo Mandarino.

He was predeceased by his parents, Erminia Marchese and Ferdinando LaValle.

Visiting hours will be from 2-6 p.m. Sunday at Lacerenza Funeral Home, 8 Schuyler Ave., Stamford. A Mass will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, 37 Schuyler Ave., Stamford. Interment will be at St John's Catholic Cemetery, 25 Camp Ave., Darien.
