Three Men Charged in Stamford Street Fight

STAMFORD, Conn. – Three Stamford men were arrested Sunday night for fighting on Ann Street, police reported.

The fight started after a man made a “disrespectful comment” about a woman, police said. The argument incited a crowd to start fighting, during which at least two men used their belts as weapons, police said.

Jecson Sterling Morel, 21, of Stamford, and Ricardo Alex Reinoso-Santana, 19, of Stamford, had removed their belts and both were charged with second-degree breach of peace and second-degree assault, police said. Also arrested was Udin Roberto Lopez-Pinto, 23, for second-degree breach of peace and third-degree assault, police said.

Also in the Police Blotter:

? Nelson Barrerra, 29, of Stamford, was arrested Monday night for third-degree assault, second-degree strangulation and disorderly conduct, police said. The incident took place on Sept. 5, police said.

? Patricia Martin, 34, of Stamford, was arrested early Tuesday morning for failure to display lights and operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, police said.

? James Peter Pelogitis, 42, of Stamford, was charged Monday with making home improvements without a certificate of regulation, failure to obtain a craftsman’s license and third- and fourth- degree larceny, police said. The incident took place in April, police said.
