Teens Busted in Shoplifting at Stamford Macy's

Two 16-year-old Stamford girls were arrested Wednesday after they were allegedly caught shoplifting from Macy’s at the Stamford Town Center. Mall security allegedly spotted the girls putting clothing accessories into their purses, Stamford police say.

The police were called after mall security had stopped the two and found items in their purses when they left Macy’s. The value of the items taken was just less than $170, police say.

The girls were charged with sixth-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit larceny. The two were released to their parents.
