Taking a Nap in Truck Leads to 2 Arrests

Two city men were arrested after they decided to take a nap inside a dump truck at 11 Crystal St., the home of Callichio Landscaping. Police were called when the apparently homeless men were found sleeping in the parked truck. Both men gave false identification information to police. They eventually were identified as Erik Strickland, 21, last known address on Prospect Street, and Dylan Thomas-Cardona, 19, last known address on Washington Boulevard.

Strickland was charged with third-degree criminal trespass. His bond was set at $2,500, and he was given an Aug. 30 court date. Thomas-Cardona was charged with third-degree criminal trespass, interfering with an officer/resisting and criminal impersonation. His bond was set at $5,000, and he also was given an Aug. 30 court date.
