A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated for Frances Furnaros at 10 a.m. today at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, 178 Greenwich Ave., Greenwich. Furnaros died Dec. 4 at Stamford Hospital. She was 71.
Furnaros was a Stamford native and was born Nov. 25, 1939. She worked as a database administrator for Champion International Paper Co. After retiring in 1999, she enjoyed activities with close friends and family, including casino trips and card games. Furnaros also belonged to the Senior Club at St. Leo's Parish.
Furnaros is survived by her husband of 52 years, Donald; daughters Karen Furnaros of Stamford and Marianne and husband Anthony Sessa of Greenwich; and a granddaughter, sister, brother and many other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by a sister, Catherine Friedland.
