Stamford's First County Bank Foundation Accepting Applications For Grants

STAMFORD, Conn. -- The First County Bank Foundation in Stamford is accepting grant application from nonprofit organizations that support community and economic development, increase the availability of affordable housing or support quality of life and educational enrichment for families and children in lower Fairfield County.

The deadline for submitting standard grant applications is March 31. To be eligible, organizations must have nonprofit tax-exempt status under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and serve the communities of Stamford, Darien, Greenwich, New Canaan, Norwalk or Westport. 

Since the First County Bank Foundation was formed in 2001, it has awarded over 1,000 individual grants exceeding $7 million. The grant application form is available on the bank’s website.
