Stamford Woman Attacks Two Cops

Rosemene Francique, 47, of Stamford was arrested early Tuesday morning after she was found trespassing on an Atlantic Street property, police say. However for the police dealing with her, Francique, who remained defiant throughout her arrest, made the process quite a bit more physical.

First, she grabbed the groin of one of the arresting officers while being forced off of the property and then after being tackled to the ground and handcuffed, she bit the other one, police say. Once police were able to get Francique into police headquarters she continued to be non-compliant refusing to be fingerprinted and officers had to force her into her cell.

Francique was unable to post her $50,000 bond and appeared in court Tuesday morning. She was charged with two counts of interfering with an officer/resisting arrest, two counts of assault on a police officer and one count of criminal trespassing.
