Stamford Teen Drives Into Three Cars

STAMFORD, Conn. – A 15-year-old Stamford girl took the keys to her parents' SUV and drove it into three cars early Thursday morning, police said. She was charged with reckless driving and operating a car without a license.

Stamford Police Capt. Bill Mullin said the teen pulled out of her Rose Park Avenue home and hit three cars parked in the street. The car came to a stop after hitting a support column on a building across the street.

The teen did not receive serious injuries, but was taken to the hospital for observation.

Mullin said the three cars, which were not occupied, received “significant” damage. He said police do not know where the teen was going, nor do they believe she was under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
