Stamford State Rep. Urges Vets to Go to Job Fair

Military veterans looking for work should make their way to the “Heroes for Life” job fair Tuesday in East Hartford, says state Rep. Michael Molgano, R-Stamford. Nearly 100 companies will be represented at the event.

“This is a great opportunity to connect service members to companies that would greatly benefit from their skills,” Molgano said in a statement. The teamwork, organization and strong leadership skills taught in the armed services transfer well into the workplace and are valued by employers, he says.

The event is sponsored by the Connecticut Department of Labor, CBS Radio, Travelers, the Connecticut Business & Industry Association, the Military Department, the Connecticut Chamber of Commerce and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

The “Heroes for Life” event will be from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Rentschler Field Ballroom in East Hartford.
