Stamford Santa Treats Kids to Piggy Banks, Snacks

Motorists passing by Stamford First Bank on Wednesday afternoon saw Santa and one of his elves beckoning to drivers to stop and come inside. It was bank manager Neil Dickson filling in for Santa and Customer Service Representative Jennifer Burns as his trusty helper. They invited visitors to join them inside the bank for cookies, cider and other goodies. Kids get a piggy bank that holds $40. Santa will help youngsters start saving for next Christmas with 25 cents to put inside the piggy bank.

The pair will be at the bank, at 612 Bedford St., until 4:30 p.m. today, Wednesday, Dec. 22. They'll be back again Thursday, Dec. 23, from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
