Beginning Monday, Dec. 13, Stamford's Scofieldtown Road Recycling Center will have extended hours. The center will be open six days a weeks, from 7 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and from 8 a.m. through 3:30 p.m. Saturdays. These hours will remain in effect through Friday, Jan. 7.
The extra service is offered to make it easier to take items to the center for recycling easier and to support the city's recycling efforts.
The Scofieldtown center is located at Scofieldtown Road and Rockrimmon Road in North Stamford. Residents are reminded that only items to be recycled and yard waste are accepted at this center. Garbage is not accepted.
