Stamford Police Investigate Shooting Threat

STAMFORD, Conn. — A "feud" on the West Side of Stamford may be behind a call police received Friday afternoon saying someone was going to a home on Fairfield Avenue to shoot a resident, Capt. Brian McElligott said.

The report of the threat came in about 3 p.m Police went to the house but the alleged suspect wasn't there, McElligott said. No guns were found and no arrests were made, but police continue to search for the alleged suspect, he said.

A shooting reported earlier this week may be connected to Friday's threat, McElligott said. The incident also may be related to a "feud" taking place between a group of people on the West Side, a dispute that is not gang-related, McElligott said.
