Stamford Pair Beat Cab Driver, Police Say

STAMFORD, Conn. ? Two men were charged with beating up a cab driver in Stamford on Sunday morning, police said. The driver chased after the two men because they skipped out on paying the fare, police said.

Alejandr Carrillo-Barrientos, 29, and Elisandro Catalan-Carrillo, 26, both of Maple Avenue in Stamford, were both charged with third-degree assault and sixth-degree larceny, police said. The cab fare was not even $6, police said.

Also in the police blotter:

? Victor Castro, 32, of Cove Road in Stamford was arrested Monday and charged with third-degree assault, police said.

? Paul Rudy Yurkovic, 49, of 42 Lanell Drive, Stamford, was charged with second- degree failure to appear Monday, police said.
