STAMFORD, Conn. — A woman who lost her three daughters and parents in a fire that consumed their Stamford home on Christmas Day in 2011, said she feels sorry for her former boyfriend who has changed his story and is accusing her of starting the fire by leaving fireplace ashes in the mudroom, according to NBC's "Today" show.
Madonna Badger, who lost her three daughters and her parents in a Stamford fire four years ago, told the "Today" show that she feels sorry for her former boyfriend who is now saying she was responsible for the fire.

She declined to comment further, due to pending litigation. Both Badger and the father of her children have outstanding lawsuits against the city of Stamford, said NBC Connecticut.
