Stamford Man Charging With Beating His Ex

A 21-year-old Stamford man has been charged with assaulting and choking his former girlfriend last month on East Main Street. Police caught up with Marcus Butler on Wednesday and charged him with second-degree breach of peace and second-degree strangulation. He posted bond on Wednesday.

When police were called to East Main Street last month, the woman said her ex-boyfriend tried to pull her out of the vehicle she was in, punched her in the head and face, and choked her. The ex left when the woman’s friend said she was going to call police. Police said there were no visible injuries to the woman and that she declined EMS care.

? Daniel Tichy, 34, of Oxford, was arrested Wednesday night by Stamford Police. He was charged with third-degree burglary and first-degree larceny for an incident on April 13.

? Mathew Hill Ward, 57, of Stamford, was charged with  failure to keep prescription drugs in an original container and possession of narcotics on Wednesday.

? Kimberly Zimmerman, 28, of Stamford was arrested  Thursday morning and charged with creating a public disturbance.
