Stamford Man Charged With Assaulting Girlfriend

A Stamford man threw his girlfriend down and kicked her during an argument in a friend’s home on Monday, police reported. The woman tried to call 911, but police said the man took the phone from her. She was able to complete the call after he left, according to Stamford Police.

Alan Giraldo, 22, later turned himself into police. He was  charged him with third-degree assault, disorderly conduct and interfering with a 911 call.

Giraldo posted $1,500 bond and was scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday, April 19.
