Stamford Man Charged in Break-in Attempt

Jose Amilcar Linares, 43, of 597 Pacific St., Stamford, was arrested as he attempted to break into his former girlfriend’s house Wednesday, Dec. 22, according to the Stamford police. Linares was charged with criminal trespass, breach of the peace and both threatening and interfering with a police officer. He was released on $500 bond pending a court appearance Jan. 11.

• Julio Rene Lopez-Arias, 23, of 142 Henry St., Stamford, was arrested Wednesday, Dec. 22, by Stamford police and charged with  operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Lopez-Arias was also charged with driving with an invalid driver’s license and failure to display lights on his vehicle. He was released on $500 bond pending a court hearing in January.
