Stamford Man Beat Girlfriend, Police Say

STAMFORD, Conn. – A Stamford man was arrested Wednesday and charged with beating  his girlfriend, police said. The man became jealous after he thought his girlfriend was flirting with a guy they were drinking with in their backyard, police said.

Yerson Arias, 33, was charged with second-degree breach of peace, third-degree assault and conspiracy to commit a crime, police said. He was released on a promise to appear in court Wednesday.

The Police Department’s special victims unit is investigating the role the other man played in the incident, police said.

? Marcos Antonio Lugo-Busanet, 24, of Bridgeport was arrested Wednesday and charged with sixth-degree larceny, police said.

? Juan Ramon Peralta, 20, of Stamford was charged with interfering with a police officer Wednesday night, police said.

? Richter Rinvil, 18, of Stamford was charged with possession of less than four ounces of marijuana, sale of illegal drugs and interfering with an officer/resisting, police said.
