STAMFORD, Conn. A 29-year-old Stamford landscaper was arrested Monday and charged with forging checks stolen from a High Ridge Road home, Stamford Police reported. The homeowner said his checkbook was stolen and over $40,000 withdrawn from his account, according to the police.
While working at the home, Hector Rivera entered to use a bathroom and apparently took the checkbook, police said. He had some of the stolen checks in his possession when he was arrested, police said.
Rivera was charged with first-degree larceny, first-degree forgery, improper use of a marker, illegal operation of a motor vehicle, failure to insure a private motor vehicle and third-degree burglary.

Luis Felipe Esquivel-Juares, 25, of Stamford was charged with illegal operation of a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, improper use of a marker, failure to register a commercial vehicle, operating a motor vehicle without a license, illegal operation of a motor vehicle without minimum insurance and not following traffic control signals.
? Ketty Guillaume, 42, was arrested Tuesday for second-degree failure to appear.
? Jill Jaccheo, 42, was charged with second-degree failure to appear Tuesday.
