Stamford Home Sells for $4.65 Million

STAMFORD, Conn. — At 12,700-square-foot home at 69 Deer Meadow Lane in Stamford was the top seller of 2011, going for $4.65 million. The transaction was officially closed last week, a William Pitt Sotheby's International Realty press release said.

The three-level, six-bedroom home offers full elevator service to all levels and has a 75-foot long pool and tennis courts on the property, the release said. It is located in North Stamford near the Greenwich border.

The real estate firm is no stranger to making big sales. It it also set the record in 2010 with the sale of a home at 389 Farms Road at $5 million.

"These remarkable sales are all the more notable in the context of the challenges that have been impacting the overall real estate market," Rob Vannucchi, director of sales for William Pitt Sotheby's International Realty's Stamford Brokerages, said in the release. He added that the Deer Meadow Lane sale is a good sign for 2012.
