Stamford Drug Dealer Gets 5 Years in Prison

An arrest made by Stamford police Nov. 17, 2009, has resulted in the sentencing of Chkan Hodge, also known as "Shock Rock," to 60 months in federal prison followed by four years of supervised release for distributing cocaine.

On Feb. 9, Hodge, 32, of Garfield Avenue, Bridgeport, pleaded guilty to possession with the intent to distribute 5 grams or more of cocaine base, or crack cocaine. The arrest and sentencing is part of the Organized Crime and Drug Enforcement Task force investigation called "Operation Big Loot," a six-month investigation spearheaded by the federal Drug Enforcement Administration and the Stamford Police Department's Narcotics and Organized Crime Squad.

In the investigation, law enforcement officers seized $164,000 in cash, more than a kilogram of cocaine and 750 grams of crack cocaine. The Operation Big Loot investigation continues.
