Stamford Cops Ask Help in Pedestrian Accident

STAMFORD, Conn. ? Stamford police are seeking the public’s help as they gather information about an incident Friday, Sept. 9, in which a 2004 Honda Civic hit a pedestrian crossing Broad Street.

A 21-year-old Stamford woman was driving the vehicle westbound on Franklin Street at 11:30 p.m. when it hit the pedestrian in the intersection, police said. Both the woman and the passenger, a 26-year-old Stamford man, were uninjured. Police did not release their names.

The victim was not positively identified, but is believed to be a 22-year-old Stamford resident of Hispanic descent, police said. Attempts to contact family are ongoing, police said.
