Analy Lopez-Guidel, 35, of Stamford, drew the attention of police when he was driving very slowly westbound on Tresser Boulevard in Stamford early Tuesday. Lopez-Guidel then almost hit a vehicle while turning onto Clinton Avenue, police said. Officers then pulled him over and noticed an odor of alcohol coming from the driver. After failing sobriety tests, Lopez-Guidel was arrested.
During the stop, Lopez-Guidel admitted he was not certain whether he had a license in his possession or that his driving was a problem.
He was charged with operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol, operating a vehicle with a suspended license and failure to drive right.

Shane Peterlee Aarons, 25, of Stamford, was pulled over Tuesday after police noticed the headlights of his vehicle were not on. During the stop, police asked whether Aarons was under the influence and he admitted to having a minimal amount of alcohol before driving.
Aarons was arrested after failing field sobriety tests, police said. He was charged with operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol and failure to display headlights.
