STAMFORD, Conn. Longtime Stamford resident Olga Rich, 86, died on Aug. 3. Born in Port Chester, she moved to Stamford as a girl and lived here more than 80 years.
She graduated from Stamford High School in 1943 and worked for the Allendale Insurance Company until her retirement. She enjoyed friends, family, cooking and taking care of the people around her.
Rich is survived by her husband of 61 years, Mel Rich Sr.; her sons, Mel Rich Jr. and Larry Rich and his wife, Jill, and two grandchildren.
A prayer service will be held in her honor Monday, Aug. 8, at 7:30 p.m. at Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory. Calling hours will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, and interment will be private.
