Missing: Alert Issued For Stamford Teen Believed To Be With Man Wanted For Sexual Assault

The Stamford Police Department is requesting the public's help in locating a missing 14-year-old girl who is believed to be in the company of a man wanted for sexual assault.

Maria Micheo-Alvarez, of Stamford, was last seen on Friday, April 26, the Stamford Police Said.

There is currently a silver alert regarding her disappearance. It is believed that Maria may be in the company of an Alex Eduardo Lemus, 19, also of Stamford, police said.

Lemus is wanted on a warrant charging him with sexual assault and risk of injury to a minor.

"We have been unable to locate either party," the department said.
