A funeral service will be held for Stamford resident Marie Dorvil on Saturday, Nov. 20, at 8:30 a.m. at Faith Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church, 29 Grove St., Stamford. Dorvil died Nov. 13 at Greenwich Hospital. She was 52. Dorvil was born in Les Cayes, Haiti, on Sept. 22, 1958. She worked for the city of Stamford, as well as the town of Greenwich, as a nursing assistant.
Survivors include three daughters, Farah Drovil and Diana Delva, both of Stamford, and Francesse Delva of Bridgeport, two grandchildren, and several sisters and brothers. She was predeceased by two brothers and two sisters.
The family will receive friends Friday, Nov. 19, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Ave., Stamford. Following Saturday's service, interment will take place at Fairfield Memorial Park, Oaklawn Avenue, Stamford.
