Man Struck By Lightning While Fishing At Stamford Beach

STAMFORD, Conn. -- A man from Port Chester, N.Y., stopped breathing after he was struck by lightning while fishing at Cove Island Park during a severe thunderstorm Saturday, the Advocate reported.

The lightning hit the man's fishing pole, his brother told police, according to the Advocate. The brother administered CPR and saved the man, who was taken to Stamford Hospital, the Advocate said.
