Man Illegally Enters Home of Ex, Stamford Cops Say

STAMFORD, Conn. — A Norwalk man was arrested Tuesday in Stamford after his ex-girlfriend said he entered her house illegally, police said.

The victim, a Shippan Avenue resident, told the police that she was sleeping and woke up to find her ex-boyfriend, Perrin Enghardt Aus, 44, in her room, police said. He grabbed her, and a brief struggle ensued before he got off of her and left the house. Aus was apprehended walking away from the residence several minutes later, police said.

The couple broke up several months ago, and the woman obtained an order of protection in November 2011, police said. Police did not report anything missing, and did not say how he got into the house.

Aus was charged with second-degree burglary, unlawful restraint and violating a protective order, police said. He appeared in court Tuesday and was jailed on $10,000 bond.
