Jacqueline Pfrang, Nurse, Volunteer

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Tuesday for Jacqueline Montefalco Pfrang, who died Nov. 25 in her Stamford home. She was 77 years old.

Pfrang was born in Derby in 1933 and grew up in Shelton. After earning her nursing degree at the University of Connecticut in 1955, she began working at Yale-New Haven Hospital. She was also director of in-service education for the Washoe Medical Center in Reno, Nev., and assistant director of nursing at the Potomac Valley Nursing Home in Potomac, Md.

She moved to Stamford in 1983 and served as a Stamford Hospital volunteer.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Edward; daughters, Lori and husband Chuck Allen of Goldsboro, N.C., and Leslie Pfrang and husband Wayne Tucker of Bronxville, N.Y.; son Philip and wife Teri Pfrang of Rumson, N.J.; and eight grandchildren and a sister. She was predeceased by a brother, John Montefalco.
