Human Resources Symposium Set for Stamford

STAMFORD, Conn. – Human resources professionals and business leaders will gather next week at UConn Stamford to discuss the challenges they face in the 21st century. The two-day summit, Wednesday, Oct. 12, and Thursday, Oct. 13, is sponsored by the Southern Connecticut Chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management.

The first day will focus on workplace law and will feature presentations by attorneys from Jackson Lewis LLP and by Glenn Marshall, commissioner of the Connecticut Department of Labor.

The second day will include a keynote address by human resources pioneer Peter Weddle and discussions on emerging trends, best practices and other topics, a news release said.

The event schedule is flexible to accommodate work needs, but classroom space is limited, the press release said.
