Helen Rita Montecalvo, Lifelong Stamford Resident

Helen Rita Montecalvo, 90, died Sunday at Stamford Hospital.

The lifelong Stamford resident is survived by her husband, Michael A. Montecalvo; her son, Michael L. Montecalvo and wife Judy; her sisters Pauline Valentine, Rita Molgano and husband Louis; her brother, Richard Gabriele; and five grandchildren.

Montecalvo was predeceased by her son, Anthony M. Montecalvo; daughter Lisa Montecalvo; stepfather Luigi Gabriele; and brother Louis Gabriele

Calling hours will be held at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Bridget’s Roman Catholic Church, 278 Strawberry Hill Ave., Stamford, at 10 a.m. Saturday. Burial will follow the Mass at Fairfield Memorial Park on Oaklawn Avenue.
