A memorial service for Rhoda Futterman will take place at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 1, at the Leo P. Gallagher and Sons Funeral Home, 2900 Summer St., Stamford. Futterman, who formerly owned Resale & Consignment in Stamford, also was an active former member of Rockrimmon Country Club. A loving wife and mother, Futterman was a devoted homemaker and a passionate golfer.
She was a resident of Stuart, Fla., at the time of her death Aug. 21 at age 74. Futterman was born Dec. 17, 1935, the daughter of Rhoda Alberta O'Neill and Edward J. O'Neill. Her husband, William Futterman, and a brother, Charles O'Neill, predeceased her. She is survived by sons Joe-Paul Futterman of Stamford and Sam Futterman of Carey, N.C.; daughters Tracy Parfitt of Fairfield and Jacqueline Hickey of Vero Beach, Fla.; and nine grandchildren. Memorial donations may be made to Stamford Hospital's Cancer Care Fund, 1351 Washington Blvd., Stamford.
