STAMFORD, Conn. Fredricka Sanders Creighton, formerly of Stamford, died on July 18. She moved to Richmond, Va., in 2007. Before that she spent her entire life in Stamford.
Creighton served as past grand worthy matron, Prince Hall Grand Chapter Order of the Eastern Star, state of Connecticut. She was also a member of the Union Baptist Church.
She is survived by children Joyce Bolden and her husband, Arthur, and Garland Creighton Jr., and his wife, Gwendolyn; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and other family and friends. Preceding Creighton in death was her husband of 63 years, Garland Creighton Sr.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 30 in Richmond, Va., at the Northminster Baptist Church, 3121 Moss Side Ave., Richmond, Va, 23222. In lieu of flowers the family is asking for donations to be made to the Alzheimers Association.
