Frank Krupicka, Founded Stamford Dental Laboratory

Former Greenwich resident Frank E. Krupicka died in TideWell Hospice House, Port Charlotte, Fla., on March 11. He was 90 years old.

Krupicka was born in Greenwich and met his wife, Betty Wood, when they were children living in Old Greenwich. They were married in 1942, and their eight decade romance ended four mont’s ago with Betty’s death. Krupicka went to Furman University in N.C. He enlisted in the Army Air Force during World War II and rose to the rank of captain. After the war,  he opened the Stamford Dental Laboratory. Krupicka worked at his business until his retirement in 1980. Frank’s favorite leisure activities in both Connecticut and Florida were boating and fishing.

Krupicka is survived by his children, Peggy Hogarth and Jack Krupicka; two grandchildren, a great-grandchild and his brother, William Krupicka. Memorial donations can be made to TideWell Hospice, Inc., 1158 Veronica St., Port Charlotte, FL 33952.
