Fighting Stance Gets Him Tasered

Catch me if you can, Logan Bass dared Stamford police. And they did. Logan, 22, of Putting Green Road, and his brother Brandon, 26, of King Highway West in Fairfield, were intoxicated early Sunday morning, police said, when the owner of Falafel Restaurant, 245 Main St., called to complain that the siblings were making a disturbance. After officers arrived, Logan taunted them, removed his shoes and said if he ran, officers wouldn't be able to catch him, according to police. Meanwhile, Brandon stood in the middle of the street and would not move when told to do so by police. He was given a ticket for reckless use of a highway by a pedestrian, but refused to sign the summons so, by law, he was taken into custody, according to police. By then Logan had returned. He and a group of friends insulted officers and began walking, then running, along West Park Place. Officers chased him on foot and when they caught up with Logan, he assumed a fighting stance and would not surrender. He was tasered and taken to the hospital for treatment, then taken into custody. Bond for Logan and Brandon was $10,000 each. The brothers were given a Sept. 3 court date.
