Duo Busted Fleeing Domestic Beef

A family altercation over a girlfriend spending the night ended with two Stamford men under arrest early Thursday. It began with Albert Mendoza, 21, of Cold Spring Road, arguing with his mother, who objected to Mendoza's girlfriend staying in the home overnight, according to police. Albert Ramirez, 27, a friend of the mother's who was staying at the home, jumped in, say police, and began throwing items, including a laptop computer. Police were called. The two men patched their differences enough to jump into the mother's car and take off, according to police. However, officers stopped the vehicle a short distance away and charged Mendoza with second-degree criminal mischief and disorderly conduct (threatening). Ramirez was charged with second-degree reckless endangerment.
