Drug Crimes Result in Two-Year Sentence

Clive Davis, 27, of Oaklawn Avenue, Stamford, was sentenced Monday to 24 months in prison for selling crack cocaine. U.S. District Judge Christopher Droney also required Davis to serve three years of supervised release, according to a statement from the U.S. Department of Justice's Connecticut district. David Fein is the U.S. attorney for the district.

In July 2009, Davis made a total of three controlled purchases of crack cocaine, and in November 2009, he was twice involved in the sale of a total of 5 to 20 grams of crack cocaine. The arrest resulted from a six-month investigation known as Operation Big Loot, developed by the Stamford Police Department's Narcotics and Organized Crime Squad and the federal Drug Enforcement Administration.

Through the operation, 51 individuals have been charged in state or federal courts on drug-related crimes, and $164,000 in cash, 750 grams of crack cocaine and more than 1 kilogram of cocaine have been seized.
