Stamford came in number five after Syracuse, NY; Providence, R.I.; New Haven; and Allentown, PA thanks to its vibrant cultural and culinary scene.

The study looked at 250 mid-sized cities in the U.S. and evaluated them on 13 key metrics, broken down into four categories: Affordability, Safety, Recreational Activities, and City Profile.

RewardExpert specifically pointed out the Stamford Museum and Nature Center as well as Cove Island Park among the city's gems.
