STAMFORD, Conn. -- Christine Mary Sileo, 91, a lifelong resident of Stamford, died July 1. She was known as Dolly by her friends and family because she had looked like a doll at birth.
A graduate of Stamford schools, Sileo became a beautician and owned The Beauty Box in Stamford for many years.
Sileo is survived by her daughter, Mary Lou De Luca and her husband, Leonard; her son, Donald Sileo; a sister, Lucy Birtle; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Dominick Sileo, and her brother, Joseph La Rocca.
A Mass was celebrated Wednesday morning at Our Lady Star of the Sea Church, followed by burial in St. John Roman Catholic Cemetery, Darien.
