The construction work will begin Monday, June 17, and continue through May 2014. The project will require a minor reduction in the number of parking spaces, and as a result, commuters are advised to allow extra time to reach the station and board the train.
The station will remain open, and both vehicular and pedestrian traffic will be maintained at all times during construction.
About 10 of the 160 parking spaces at the Glenbrook station will be unavailable during this construction project, DOT said.
Waters Construction Co. of Bridgeport is doing this $1.7 million project. It is part of an ongoing project to upgrade rail facilities on the New Canaan branch of the New Haven Line and meet the future needs of Connecticut’s public transportation system.
