Blumenthal Helps Stamford School Raise Funds

STAMFORD, Conn. — U.S. Sen. Richard Blumenthal was on hand recently for Villa Maria School's annual Spring Gala and Silent Auction fundraiser at Richards of Greenwich.

Blumenthal also helped raise funds by auctioning off a tour of his offices in Washington, D.C., a release said. Other prizes included New York Giants tickets, an Eli Manning signed footbal, and a golf outing at Trump National Golf Club, a previous story said.

The Stamford school was hoping to bring in $100,000 to purchase iPads for its students, Debbie Cooney, the auction chair, said previously. The release did not say how much the March 30 event raised.
