Beulah Post, Owned Clothing Stores

STAMFORD, Conn. — Beulah Post, 97, of Stamford, died at her residence Jan. 20 after a short illness. She was born in New York City on April 25, 1914, and lived for the past 71 years in Stamford.

She owned and operated two women’s clothing stores — one in Stamford and one in Darien — with her husband, Arthur. In her free time, Post served as a volunteer at Stamford Hospital and the Jewish Community Center. She won the Jewish Community Center's woman of the year award. 

Post is survived by daughters Linda Danaceau and husband Howard, and Donna Fuhrman and husband Edward; stepdaughter Ellen Camhi; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service was held Sunday, Jan. 22, at Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home in Stamford.
