STAMFORD, Conn. A number of holiday events are scheduled this weekend in Stamford for Passover and Easter. Get all of the details for whats going on in the city below.
Friday, April 6
6:30 a.m.: A weeks worth of Passover services and events at the Congregation Agudath Shalom, 301 Strawberry Hill Ave., open with Shacharit. Follow this link for the full schedule of services at the synagogue for Passover.
8 a.m.: Temple Beth El, 350 Roxbury Road, begins its Passover services with the Siyum for the First Born. Follow this link for the synagogue's full slate of services this week.
8 p.m.: First Presbyterian Church in Stamford, 1101 Bedford St., will have a concert on Good Friday, featuring "For Us the Living:A Requiem" by Alfred Fedak and "Lux Aeterna" by Morten Lauridsen James Wetherald.
Saturday, April 7
8:30 a.m.: Church of Christ the Healer, 20 Brookdale Road, will host a special Holy Saturday Spa for the Spirit, helping people Letting Go of the Old and Receiving What is New. The event runs until 12:30 p.m. A donation of $15 to $20 is suggested.
10 a.m.: Take the kids to the Stamford Museum & Nature Center, 39 Scofieldtown Road, for a huge Easter Egg Hunt on Hecksher Farm. Admission is $5 to $10.
10:30 a.m.: Worship the First Day of Passover at Temple Sinai, 458 Lakeside Drive, with the Shabbar Festival.
11 a.m.: Take your pets to the free Microchip Clinic offered by Outreach to Pets In Need. The event will take place at 212 Magee Ave. and also offers an array of kids events.
Sunday April 8
