Wacky Marriage Show Comes to Stamford Theater

STAMFORD, Conn. — Stamford’s Curtain Call theater group will show you the lives of three married couples who find out one day they are not really married.

In J.B. Preistley’s 1938 play, "When We Are Married,” three couples are wed on the same day, in the same church, by the same vicar. While celebrating their 25th wedding anniversaries, the couples find out the vicar was a fraud and they are not really married.

For Curtain Call's production, Stamford resident Joel Fenster directs a cast of actors from Fairfield and Westchester counties. The play premieres Jan. 13 and will have showings Thursday through Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. The last performance is on Jan. 29.

Tickets are $28 for adults, $20 for senior citizens and $14 for students/children, and can be purchased on-line or over the phone, 203-461-6358.

The performances will be held in the Dressing Room Theatre, and doors open about an hour before the show starts. You can bring your own food and drinks if you go.
